Blog
The goal of this blog is to document all of the things that we learn
during our web development journey. These are intended to be short,
useful snippets that are gleamed from the codeacademy course, and also
from the online tutorials and from things that we've learnt from our
front-end mentor courses.
We need to have:
-
An area dedicated to good resources, including sections for youtube
videos, books, online games, twitter pages -- including contact
information of people who are willing to review frontend mentor
tasks for free.
-
An area which focuses on CSS tricks and tips --- for example the
slideout footer technique which we have recently utilised, which is
detailed in the CSS tricks page. We should have sections detailing
the diffences between a/j items, content and self. We should also
have items detailing the different ways to utilise images, including
looking at the aspect ratio, or using background-size: cover. These
are crucial techniques.
-
On the section where we review information from really important
youtube reviewers, we can have people like the fireship guy and also
information from Kevin Powell. We should have a page with a daily check-list
which reminds us of what we need to view daily. Whether its CSS Tricks,
or any other website.
